Heley International is set to open a warehouse and cash and carry selling end-of-line goods in Billericay, Essex.
Basildon Council chiefs have given the green light to the company, which already runs a similar operation and head office in West Thurrock, Essex, according to the Basildon Echo.
The company, with a product range including branded foods, beverages and toiletries, says its customer base ranges from pound shops to market traders, government institutions and independent wholesalers with independent retailers accounting for more than 70% of its customers.
Heley International began life in the east end of London in the mid-70s with the aim of providing food and drink manufacturers with a safe way to dispose of residual stock. It now sources products from around the world, including household products, skincare and fragrances.
