Delivered wholesaler Palmer & Harvey (P&H) has struck a supply deal with franchised alcohol retailer Conviviality Retail.
The initial two year agreement will see both groups utilise the other’s experience and buying power with Conviviality Retail sourcing and supplying P&H with beers, wines and spirits, and P&H supplying Conviviality Retail with tobacco.
Conviviality Retail currently includes 716 franchised stores run by 380 franchisees across its Bargain Booze, Bargain Booze Select Convenience and Wine Rack stores. It believes the supply agreement will help drive efficiencies in its buying capability while further utilising its nationwide distribution network.
Martyn Ward, Managing Director of P&H, said: “We are delighted with this strategic collaboration with Conviviality Retail. We are confident it will benefit our respective businesses, partners and customers, and believe there is scope for growth in future years.”
David Robinson, MD of Conviviality Retail commented: “We are constantly looking at ways to ensure we provide the right range, service, support and pricing for our Franchisees. This agreement will help us to maintain and further improve our ability to invest in future initiatives and pricing to provide our Franchisees with more opportunities to strengthen their business. We look forward to working with the P&H team on this exciting initiative for both our businesses.”
