Parfetts launches rewards scheme

Parfetts Cash amp; Carry has teamed up with retail and catering equipment supplier, Shop-Equip, to offer its customers the opportunity to obtain a wide range of equipment including display refrigeration, modular shelving, point of sale counters and cash control items without any additional outlay.

Retail, catering on-trade and off-trade customers of any Parfetts’ depot will earn investment points on a wide range of purchases between now and August 22. The range of qualifying products, all at normal cash and carry prices, will change every three weeks and many will also be on promotion. The investment points can be exchanged for items of equipment from Shop-Equip’s extensive range to help improve and develop premises.

A number of high-profile suppliers including Heineken, Molson Coors, Carlsberg, JTI, Diageo and Unilever have already signed up as branded sponsors. The reward scheme will be supported in all Parfetts’ depots each of which will have a display of equipment available and qualifying products in entrance areas where staff will be on hand to answer any questions customers may have.

Justin Osbourne from JTI commented: “We, along with Parfetts, recognise the importance of helping retailers, caterers and licensed customers improve their premises but understand that the investment needed isn’t always easy to raise. Through this industry leading reward scheme we are helping with improvements that can make a big difference to operators’ bottom line and increasing our engagement with Parfetts’ customers.”

Parfetts’ joint MD Greg Suszczenia explained the thinking behind the reward scheme: “We have always recognised the benefits and advantages that a well merchandised store can offer both retailers and shoppers. We also know that a full refurbishment may not always be within budget but focusing on improving certain areas of a store can pay dividends. That’s why we have partnered with Shop-Equip to give our customers access to the products they need to develop their businesses without the associated investment.

“We have a fantastic retail club and fascia offering through Go-Local which engages with 25% of our customer base but our reward scheme is designed to give every single one of our customers the opportunity to do something to improve their businesses from new shopping baskets to new fridges.”
