Palmer and Harvey has struck a deal to stock dairy-free ice cream from award winning Bessant and Drury.
The luxury coconut milk frozen dessert has less than half the fat of regular dairy ice-cream and P amp;H’s inclusion of the range is in response to a growing trend for healthier alternatives in convenience.
The ice-cream is made from all natural ingredients, is high in fibre and free from dairy, gluten, soya, egg, cholesterol, artificial additives, colourings and preservatives.
The products, available now, come in 500ml and 125ml pots with a choice of four classic flavours: chocolate, vanilla, lemon and strawberry. Retailers are able to purchase the 500ml pots in packs of six for £15.53, with a RRP of £4.69 per pot. The 125ml pots come in packs of 12 priced at £11.75, with a RRP of £1.69 per pot.
Andrea Ward, marketing communications controller, Palmer and Harvey said: “Retailers are looking to make their stores stand out from the competition and the people’s diets are changing. There’s a trend to eat less dairy and it’s great we can help retailers take advantage of this. We know that niche products enhance shopper loyalty which is ideal for independent retailers.”
