Nestlé launches summer “Great Escapes” promo for Rowntree’s

Nestlé’s sugar confectionery brand Rowntree’s has announced a new summer promotion that will offer families of all ages the chance to win one of 85 “Great Escapes”.

In what is claimed to be a first for the brand, the promotion will run across the full Rowntree’s portfolio of singles and sharing bags, including favourite products such as Fruit Pastilles, Fruit Gums, Randoms, Jelly Tots and  Tooty Frooties. Promotional stock will be available from June 1.

Each Great Escape will be based in the UK or Republic of Ireland and features locations such as yurts, treehouses, coastal and country retreats.  And, whilst the primary target audience is mums aged 28-44 with school aged kids, the prizes highlighted on packs will differ with each product in order to appeal more closely to its target audience – thus Jelly Tots will feature Farm and Forest Funtime escapes, for Rowntree’s Randoms its Glamorous Glamping whilst Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles will feature Luxury Lodges.

Promotional packs will feature a code inside the pack and shoppers simply need enter it onto the website to find out if they are a lucky winner.

The brand will also be launching a limited edition Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles Berries and Cream single and a permanent Berries and Cream sharing bag in time for summer. Each pack will contain a mix strawberry and cream, raspberry and cream and blackberry and cream sweets, with stock again available from June 1.
