Nestlé launches Caramac sharing bag

Nestlé Confectionery’s Caramac brand is to move away from the bar format for the first time in its history.

The new Caramac Buttons sharing bag (110g) has an RRP of £1.59, with stock available from August 31.

Launched in the UK in 1959, Caramac has a loyal, hardcore following of fans and Nestlé says the new sharing bag format will, for the first time, enable more opportunities for the brand to be shared with friends and family, thus capitalising on the key consumer trend for sharing confectionery and informal socialising.

Across the total market chocolate sharing bags have grown 50% in consumer sales value over the past four years, with Nestlé Confectionery’s range growing ahead of the market at 75% over the same period [IRI CSV 4 years YTD to 31.07.15].
