The My Shop is Your Shop campaign is holding a one-day course on how independents can drive footfall by involvement with their local community.
Under the theme of a MSYS Community Masterclass, a selected group of retailers will receive media training – how to develop contact and secure coverage in local media and how to make the most of live media interviews.
Local marketing and building profile for the business will also be covered, with retailers exchanging ideas from their own experience. MSYS chairman Alan Toft said: “Independents need media and marketing expertise to maximise their presence in their community. This is yet another MSYS initiative giving retailers practical help.”
The Masterclass will be held in Crewe on April 29.
