Independent dairy business Meadow Foods has launched a foodservice range under a new business – Green Valley Dairy.
Meadow Foods is using its AA Grade, BRC-approved facilities to manufacture dairy products for distribution via its UK-wide chilled network, with products on offer including full and low fat soft cheese, mascarpone, crème fraiche and set, soured cream as well as sweetened condensed milk. All products are being sold directly into foodservice wholesalers, distributors and caterers. They come in 1kg, 2kg and 5kg containers, plus individual units and multipacks.
Mark Chantler, managing director of Meadow Foods’ ingredients business, said: “Green Valley Dairy will open new markets and opportunities for our quality dairy products. We intend to run the business as an independent brand to Meadow Foods, whilst still using our business’ proven experience and expertise in the dairy sector.
“We’ve already seen some positive interest and orders for the product from wholesalers and end-users alike and look forward to extending our premium yet affordable products into the food service marketplace,” he added.
Meadow Foods operates from factories in Chester, Peterborough and Holme-on-Spalding Moor. The company, founded in 1992, now employs more than 275 people and has a turnover in excess of £400m. www.greenvalleydairy.co.uk.
