Matthew Clark sees double-digit growth

On-trade specialist wholesaler Matthew Clark is celebrating a year of continued value growth in the wine sector with an increase of 7% over the past 12 months (MC YOY 26th Jan 2014).

Despite the market sector experiencing double digit decline of 13% (CGA YOY to 26th Jan), Matthew Clark says it has seen a surge in sales from within its wine portfolio on the back of honing its wine list to concentrate on offering high quality wines to the UK on-trade.

The shift has seen the addition of a series of smaller, boutique agencies from around the world, including names such as Chapel Down, Te Karainga, Bai Gorri and Herencia Altés, leading to a string of awards.
