Londis has set up four new store opening teams around the UK in a bid to keep pace with new retailers looking to join the symbol group.
The teams will help retailers to settle in and to place their first order using webshop, the group’s new on-line ordering facility. They also offer merchandising, ranging and promotional support with a key focus on the fresh, beers/wines/spirits and impulse categories.
Londis says one store per week, on average, is joining from other symbol groups or multiple account operators putting it on track to top 2,000 stores in this year.
