Do you want to help raise the profile of the wholesale industry in the corridors of power? Then join us at The Federation of Wholesale Distributors’ Parliamentary Reception at the House of Commons on February 13.
FWD members and associate members are invited to meet MPs from the All Party Wholesale Group, including food minister David Heath, at the event, which is intended to raise the profile of the wholesale channel among parliamentarians.
FWD chief executive James Bielby said: “The message to MPs and peers is that hundreds of thousands of small businesses across the country rely on our members. We offer them advice and support as well as frequent deliveries of excellent value products. With the support of wholesalers and suppliers that believe this supply chain is an important component of economic growth, these independent businesses are offering great service to millions of people.
“We want to impress on our Parliamentary contacts that the contribution of wholesalers working with retailers and caterers deserves to be celebrated and recognised in the formation of policy and regulation.”
The Reception is hosted by Dan Rogerson MP, chair of the All Party Group, and members of the FWD Council.
The event on the Terrace at the House of Commons begins at 7.00pm and is free to FWD members and associate members. Entry is by ticket only. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in attending.
