Landmark Wholesale to focus on “Creating Tomorrow’s Growth” at Montreux conference, with guest slots from FWD, Paxman and Adlington

More than 230 members, suppliers and industry leaders will come together for the Landmark Wholesale annual conference in May as the buying group shares its vision around “Creating Tomorrow’s Growth”.

“Given what is happening in the industry, driven by the multiples and the discounters, alongside the resulting opportunities for convenience and out of home, the need to work better together has never been greater,” said Martin Williams, Landmark Wholesale MD.

“This year’s conference will explore why partnership working is so critical for success in all channels: retail, out of home and foodservice.”

This year’s conference is held in Montreux, Switzerland, where delegates will hear from leading industry experts such as Paul Johnson, economist at the Institute for Fiscal Studies, James Bielby, chief executive of the FWD, Jill Livesey, MD of him! Research and Consulting and James Lowman, chief executive of the ACS, as well as two world-wide speakers from Nestle and PMI, key Landmark members, suppliers and Central Office staff.

Guest speakers this year are former Newsnight anchor Jeremy Paxman and Great Britain’s most successful ever swimmer, Rebecca Adlington OBE, both of which will provide an independent and inspiring perspective to the conference.

The conference, which runs from May 27 to June 1, aims to “provide delegates with an invaluable experience, combining formal business sessions and one-to-one sessions with a memorable social programme,” according to Williams.
