Landmark recruits two new members

Two new members have joined Landmark Wholesale – Brook Street Foods and Turners Fine Foods – taking it to a total of nine new recruits in the past 12 months.

Brook Street Foods, which was formed in 1990, is a delivered foodservice wholesaler which recently moved to new premises in Needham Market near Ipswich. It has a turnover of £10m, and delivers to customers in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.

Turners Fine Foods is based in Goudhurst, Kent, and supplies more than 1,000 chefs and retailers with a range of general and specialist foods. Turnover is expected to hit £16m this year and the company has applied for planning permission to extend its premises to allow for more bulk purchasing and a wider product range.

Landmark managing director Martin Williams said: “We welcome them both to the group and look forward to working closely with them to help develop their businesses together. Foodservice is having a striking impact on our business and making a significant contribution to the Group.”

He said that with the addition of Country Range Group, which has previously announced it will be joining on January 1, Landmark Wholesale’s turnover in foodservice will be £1.1bn, and that Landmark is the third largest foodservice wholesaler in the UK.
