Landmark own label hits another high

Landmark own label hit its sixth consecutive month of growth in March as retailers continued to buy into its licensed products, No3 Tobacco and Lifestyle Value ranges.

Own label sales rose by 41.8% during the month compared with March last year, while – total own label sales at the end of March were up by 29.8% for the financial year-to-date (YTD) from May 2011 compared with the previous year.The group says several of its members saw particularly high levels of year-to-date growth including Broadway (548%), Hi-Line (400%), AJ Food (117%) and United Wholesale (105%).

The group is continuing to add to its own label range and earlier this month added more Lifestyle Value products including price-marked juices, tea bags and cooked meats bringing the total number of products under this brand to 32. More lines will be added later in the year.

Landmark Wholesale business development director, Chris Doyle told Wholesale News: “The performance of Licensed, No3 Tobacco, Lifestyle Value and LSV were phenomenal and, for the sixth period running, every Landmark Wholesale Member’s own brand sales are in growth compared with the same period last year.”
