Landmark own brand sales up

Landmark Wholesale had continued its run of own brand growth with sales into depots in February increasing by 35.7% compared with the same month in 2011. Total own brand sales at the end of February were up by 28.4% for the financial year to date from May 2011 compared with the previous year.

Licensed goods performed strongly, rising by 70.8%, No3 Tobacco products achieved a 35.6% increase against February last year, and Catering products sales rose by 23.4% for the month. United Wholesale, Broadways and AJ Foods all maintained own brand sales growth of more than double that of the previous financial year.

Landmark Wholesale business development director Chris Doyle said: “It’s great to see growth coming from across our whole membership. For the fifth period running, every Landmark Wholesale member’s own brand sales are ahead of the same period last year.

“It reflects the hard work and commitment of our members, the central office team and our suppliers and demonstrates the effectiveness of the various own brand initiatives that we have implemented.”
