As part of its new Caterer Connections Club (see Wholesale News, April), buying group Landmark Wholesale has produced three product catalogues: On-Trade Essentials, Quick Service Essentials and Cost Sector Essentials. These guides provide a one-stop shop for those working in foodservice and are available in Landmark member depots for caterers to pick up. They can also be made available to download.
Landmark says it has “done all the hard work” in assembling the must-have items that caterers need for their particular type of business.
“We know that cost sector demands are different to quick service and on-trade, so we have created three individual guides, cherry picking the items you want, both brand and own brand, at prices you can afford,” said Chris Doyle, business development director, Landmark Wholesale.
“We have carefully chosen 30 suppliers that we believe are integral to foodservice across chilled, ambient, on-trade and non-food categories,” he continued. “We are confident that this is the perfect number to cover the essential products every caterer should be considering for their business.”
Alongside the three Essential guides, the Caterer Connections programme also now includes a Caterer Connections magazine, providing insider tips on trends and developments within the industry, as well as practical advice and ideas. Caterer Specials is produced monthly with useful serving and recipe information. And twice-yearly one-to-one meetings are also encouraged, ensuring Landmark members connect with suppliers and foodservice operators for mutual benefit.
“We recognise the complex challenges and demands faced by those in the delivered foodservice and cash and carry catering trades,” said Chris Doyle. “This is why we have introduced Caterer Connections to step change caterers’ businesses by bringing together suppliers, wholesalers and foodservice operators.”
