JJ Food Service has launched a new website with what the Enfield-based wholesaler describes as “a faster ordering process and a more impactful visual design” to make shopping easier and more enjoyable for its customers.
Chief operations officer at JJ Food Service Mushtaque Ahmed said: “Speed of service is absolutely vital for our customers. With the new website, they can enjoy a quicker more efficient shop.”
Optimised for use on mobile phones and tablets, the site offers access to key categories, special offers, promotional brochures, branch locators and the ability to track orders in real time.
Investment in Search Engine Optimisation aims to increase the website’s visibility on search engines like Google and Yahoo, driving more traffic and potentially more customers to the site.
Powered by the same machine-learning technology as the recently launched app, the website can also make suggestions based on customers’ previous shopping habits, resulting in a quicker, easier and more efficient shop.
“With the rise of online grocery shopping, it has become imperative for food and drink wholesalers to optimise their online services”, said Ahmed. “We have responded by making it even easier for our customers to order online. Together with the new app, we are prepared to move with the times.”
JJ Food Service first launched its transactional website in 2008 and after five years, online sales accounted for 50% of turnover. Today, online orders account for 63% of total group sales.
