Del Monte has announced a major strategic partnership with Jenks which will involve the transfer of all responsibility for the sales, marketing, distribution and administration of its UK foods division to the sales and marketing company.
The transfer will take place on the October 15, and is the development of an existing relationship between the two companies.
Del Monte UK’s managing director Peter Miller said: “We see this as an important and positive step in the life and development of the brand. Jenks joint managing director Ross Beattie commented: “Our expertise lies in optimising the sales channel and we are structured to provide a greater breadth and depth of coverage of the UK market than most brands can deliver. We can take a premium brand like Del Monte and give it the focus it needs to maintain its rightful position as market leader.”
