James Hall wants retailers to tweet in return for cash prizes

James Hall, the Preston-based Spar wholesaler, is giving retailers in the North of England the chance to win £1,000 worth of cash prizes by joining in with its “Make it happen” Twitter campaign.

The campaign runs until September 30 and retailers are being urged to take photos of their best displays and send them to @SPARDSAP on Twitter for a chance to win.

One retailer will win a grand prize as the overall winner for best embracing all of the activities together. Meanwhile, all entering independent retailers in the North region will have the chance to win a variety of cash prizes in the following categories: Best display;
Best use of PoS;
Best use of in-store tasting;
Best at active selling/till point conversations; Best community/charity event; and Best Spar brand activity.

Peter Dodding, sales and marketing director at James Hall, said: “We are really excited to be running our ‘Make it happen’ initiative, which I’m confident, will get our retailers actively tweeting this summer. The initiative works nicely alongside Spar UK’s Selling Plan strategy, which has a strong focus on promoting instore events and displays this year.”

The winners will be announced at James Hall’s Spar retailer conference and gala dinner on November 25.
