Four of the biggest names in the supply chain will take part in the CEO summit at the Federation of Wholesale Distributors’ Annual Conference in July.
In a session intended to explore how supply chain partners can work together to improve service to customers, Chris Etherington of Palmer and Harvey and Charles Wilson of Booker will represent wholesalers, with Imperial Tobacco general manager Amal Pramanik and Paul Grimwood, chairman and CEO of Nestl eacute; UK, providing the suppliers’ viewpoint.
The discussion forms the centrepiece of this year’s event, which again sees FWD joining forces with customer trends analyst him! for a full-day event at the Hotel Russell in central London on July 12.
Under the theme of supply chain partnerships, the conference will discuss how joint initiatives have increased co-operation and understanding between manufacturing and distribution partners and led to better pricing, availability and merchandising assistance for retailers and caterers.
The day includes the unveiling of the him! wholesale tracking programme results for cash and carry, delivered wholesale and foodservice, and the event continues into the evening with a drinks reception, dinner and the him! Wholesale Awards.
