Hi-Line Cash amp; Carry, which has a depot in Deptford, south-east London, has opened a new 14,000sq ft depot further south in Croydon. The new depot sells licensed goods, cigarettes and tobacco, soft drinks and the main grocery lines through traditional cash and carry and a delivered operation for convenience stores, forecourts and restaurants.
Hi-Line owner Sharmmila Jeganmogan said: “The opening of this new depot is the first of a number of initiatives aimed at increasing our customer base in south-east London.”
The company recently joined Landmark Wholesale, and she added: “Being part of Landmark will also help us to develop our business by introducing new lines, in particular grocery and own brands.”
Landmark Wholesale managing director Martin Williams said: “It’s great to see the plans of our new members coming to fruition and we wish Hi-Line well with their new depot. 2011 has got off to a great start for Landmark. Year-to-date sales are up by more than 10% and, so far this year, we’ve recruited Hi-Line and four other new members.”
