Helen Buck steps down at Palmer & Harvey

The Palmer & Harvey Board confirmed yesterday (April 22) that chief operating officer Helen Buck (pictured above) had tendered her resignation, for personal reasons, which the Board had “reluctantly accepted”.

“We would like to thank Helen for her efforts during her short time with the Group,” the wholesaler said in a statement.

The search for a replacement for Helen is already underway but we are well placed in the interim period having strengthened our senior management team over the last couple of years with the appointment of Mark Leonard as Group operations director (formerly head of supply chain logistics at The Cooperative Group), as well as a new supply chain director, regional operations director and an enhanced depot management team.”

Chris Etherington, chairman and CEO of Palmer & Harvey, commented: “Our strong management team is making significant progress in line with our strategy, which is focused on delivering a first-class service underpinned by operational efficiency to the benefit of all of our customers and suppliers.”
