Hancocks will be opening its 18th depot in February, with the new site in Reading.
The new 12,000sq ft cash and carry will stock in excess of 5,000 branded and own label confectionery products including Hancock’s range of pick and mix sweets.
The Reading branch is off Imperial Way near junction 11 of the M4. It sits close to Booker and Costco, and is designed to allow general retailers to drop in and pick up a greater range of confectionery when carrying out their grocery shop.
The new cash and carry is set to open on February 6 and there will be special promotions to mark the opening.
Mark Watson, managing director of Hancocks, said: “We are really delighted with the Reading launch.
“Hancocks has been looking for a site in that area for some time as we know it’s a clear gap in our catchment.
“Its position so close to an M4 junction is perfect for retailers who want to drop in from neighbouring towns.”
