Ginsters, the savoury pastry brand, is set to sponsor the new Football League highlights show – Football League Tonight on Channel 5 from tonight (Saturday August 8). This deal will see Ginsters have a significant presence on TV throughout the year and the brand association is “a perfect fit” for its football-loving consumers.
The 90-minute programme will feature six 10-second ads highlighting Ginsters’ most popular savoury lines – Large Sausage Roll, Peppered Steak Slice and Original Cornish Pasty.
The programme goes out at 9pm every Saturday night and is repeated again at 11:40pm on digital (Freeview, Freesat Sky,Virgin) channel Spike and at 7am on Sunday mornings on Channel 5. Nearly half of all Ginsters’ core consumers will have seen the ads at least 18 times by the end of the football season.
Ginsters plans a full through the line support package including on-pack, in-store and on-line activation to support the sponsorship as part of a wider multi-million pound investment behind the brand this year.
