This year’s FWD Conference aims to be a masterclass in success in the wholesale channel, with suppliers, wholesalers and insight providers sharing their tips for sales success through partnerships with FWD members.
Entitled Winning in Wholesale and sponsored by Capital on Tap, the event will explore the state of the market and identify growth trends in three sessions: The Next 12 Months, Engaging Customers and Inside Wholesale.
Speakers already confirmed include Stuart Doughty of Booker, FWD’s Young Wholesaler of the Year; Mondelez International’s head of Europe, Mary Barnard; Dawood Pervez of Bestway; and Andrew Selley, CEO of foodservice giant Bidvest. Wholesalers large and small will demonstrate how they are driving products and promotions through to consumers, and the support they give to their retail and foodservice customers.
Building on the opportunity in foodservice, the conference will see the launch of new research commissioned by FWD in which pubs, fast food outlets, schools and care homes supplied by FWD wholesalers reveal what they need from their supply chain partners.
The event, on June 30, will again be held at St George’s Park in Burton-on-Trent. It is followed in the evening by a drinks reception, dinner and the him! Wholesale Awards.
