FWD Gold Medals 2016: Wholesalers name their brands of the year

Members of the Federation of Wholesale Distributors revealed their choice of the best brands, products and innovations of the year at the FWD’s Gold Medal Awards last night.

Walkers Crisps won the Gold Medal Grocery Brand while PG Tips picked up the foodservice equivalent. The award for best drinks brand went to Corona from AB In-Bev UK. Two awards for product innovations went to PepsiCo UK for Walkers Tear ‘n’ Share and Nestlé Professional for Nescafé Coffee Tin.

The inaugural Young Supplier Award went to Chris Darvill of KP Snacks, a Business Development Manager working with Booker.

FWD’s Gold Medals for Suppliers are nominated and voted for by wholesalers including Booker, Bestway, Bidvest Foodservice, Landmark Wholesale and the Today’s Group.
