Bestway integrates buying operation

Bestway has reorganised its buying team of negotiators to bring together the Group’s two previous buying teams at Batleys and Bestway.

Kaiser Yousaf, the Group’s trading controller, said in announcing the changes: “Following a general review of the way we negotiate our deals with suppliers, we have restructured the original two teams at Batleys and Bestway into one team.

“I am delighted to include in the review the addition of two new people who joined as graduate trainees and have previously worked as deputy managers in the Group branch network. In their new roles they will bring new skills to the team and create a greater force of knowledge and experience.”

The team, under the direction of Kaiser Yousaf, will include seven senior negotiators who will lead teams within their own categories. They will all be based at the Bestway Abbey Road headquarters with the exception of Batleys pet care team, which will continue to operate from Batleys Huddersfield offices, led by operations manager Mike Bailey.

Catering will have a separate team who will work alongside David Gilroy, who is responsible for the catering offer provided by the Group.
