Parfetts expands role of depot general manager

Parfetts Cash & Carry has appointed Pete Mullan as associate licensed negotiator to support the Group Trading team based at the Parfetts head office at Stockport.

This new role is an expansion of Mullan's current role as general manager at Parfetts' Stockport depot.

The role has been created in recognition of the experience that Mullan has within the industry and the knowledge and insight he offers Group Trading activity across the licensed category.

He joined Parfetts in 1981 and his first role was in the wines and spirits department. He moved into a general management position in the late 80s.

Mullan said: "This is an exciting new role for me, particularly as this is the category where I started my career at Parfetts. Despite being in a general management role for the past 20 years, I have always maintained my interest and knowledge of the licensed category and have developed key supplier contacts which will assist me in this new trading role.

"I'm looking to bring a rounded view to the trading table, using my background, my understanding of independent retailers and my passion for this category."
