ViVAS, the joint venture wine company formed by 3663 and Bibendum Wine, has appointed James Salmon to the newly created role of general manager.

Salmon spent 13 years working at Wells and Young's Brewing Company and was most recently head of sales operations.

Michael Saunders, managing director of Bibendum, commented that towards the end of 2008 it became apparent that ViVAS needed a general manager to build and develop on what it has achieved over the first nine months.

Alex Fisher, managing director of 3663, said: "As a sales strategist with 15 years drinks industry experience James brings a high level of both supply chain and market knowledge to the role, making him perfectly placed to drive ViVAS forward into its second year of trading."
