Sanderson has won an IT contract to supply Cox's Cash & Carry and sister company Thurles Wholesale.

The Sanderson solution will centralise operations to allow the two companies to operate cohesively.

Centralising buying, depot and group accounts functions will increase efficiency within the organisations, providing a platform for improved customer service.

Mobile sales facilities will be used to reduce the time taken to process and despatch customer orders, allowing same-day and next-day delivery times to be offered to customers. Mobile sales reps will use handheld technology to capture customer orders which are then emailed directly to the Sanderson system for picking and delivery.

To streamline goods-in and provide more efficient stock management and fulfilment, Cox's will use radio frequency technology, which will also increase the accuracy of order picking.

Jackie Taylor, sales director of wholesale distribution at Sanderson, said: "The Sanderson system will assist Cox's in delivering the excellent customer service that they strive to achieve."
