Most of the buying team got out to visit retailers on Thursday June 1 to measure the impact of National Independents’ Day and lent a helping hand in store. Our efforts to get more retailers involved this year has paid off. We’ve seen some excellent media coverage in the local press, on radio and TV, and the Daily Mirror and Record coupons will drive additional footfall over the coming days. MSYS is still in its infancy and we have much to gain from it throughout the year – not just on this one day.
The team has consumed quite a few KitKats in the office hoping to find one of the 100 Golden Tickets needed to join the Big Brother household. No luck, but then with over four million consumed every week across the country, the odds were rather long. A clever promotion.
