Delivered wholesaler Blueheath has won the contract to supply forecourt dealer Motor Fuel in a further boost to its UK forecourts network.
Based in Wembley, Middlesex, the Motor Fuel group has 23 sites from Doncaster in the north to Eastbourne on the south coast, and retails a range of tobacco, confectionery, and household goods. Its outlets carry the Motor Fuel, Highway Stops, or Fuel Stops fascias.
The deal means that Blueheath now delivers to several leading UK forecourt retailers including the Park Garages Group, which it recruited in May.
Blueheath CEO Douglas Gurr said: “Motor Fuel was an ideal business fit in an area where our expertise is now established. They are a progressive group with strong expertise in this sector and a quality retailing philosophy.”
Gurr also revealed that integrating recently acquired Welsh supplier CTM Wholesale into Blueheath’s national network was moving “faster and smoother” than expected.
He said that they were successfully implementing their ordering and delivery technology within the traditional Wrexham-based delivery Features > Business, which supplies 800 retail outlets throughout Wales and the North West.
“Progress has been really excellent and everybody has adapted beyond expectations,” he said. “Driven by our unique business model, it is already being understood that the enlarged group will benefit customers further.”
CTM managing director Steve Faulkner added: “The integration is going very smoothly with no disruption to our loyal customers or staff. CTM management and staff feel secure because of the strength of the larger company.”
