Football theme for Today’s next marketing campaign

World Cup hero Sir Geoff Hurst will be the figurehead of Today’s Group’s major marketing campaign next year.

The new campaign, Football Crazy, was unveiled at the Today’s Group supplier presentation at The Royal Court Hotel, near Coventry, and Sir Geoff, who scored the hat trick that won England the World Cup in 1966, was on hand to kick it off.

Today’s said the campaign would be linked to all major football events taking place next year and both cash and carry and delivered members will be able to share in the momentum, with Football Fun days planned for in-depot activity, teamed with promotional activity, POS, football games, scratch cards, giveaways and kit donations to local teams.

Nick Barker, Today’s trading director, commented: “After the unprecedented success of the Just 18 Brandwagon this year in terms of member sales and supplier support, Football Crazy is set to be even bigger. We’re hoping that members and suppliers alike will join the line-up once again and fully support this new campaign, which will launch in May to tie in with the FA Cup and Scottish Cup Finals.”
