With the holiday season in full swing, where better to turn this month’s spotlight than a foodservice wholesaler whose Isle of Wight business is currently at full stretch supplying the island’s catering trade.
Medina Foodservice developed from a business providing meat for the catering trade, and this is still an important part of the business (above), but now it supplies everything except alcohol and tobacco and, judging by the increase in turnover since 2001, it is a service appreciated by its customers.
Also in this section of the magazine Graham Northfield of ACNeilsen provides some insights from its newly launched Delivered Catering Wholesale Service. Using data from all the main players the service should provide an authoritative commentary as trends develop in the business.
Also in the foodservice section this month we take our usual look at some of the new products and promotions which are going to be making an impact in the coming weeks.
