FWD’s How to Win in Wholesale programme for suppliers and wholesalers kicks off next month (March) with a session on how to take advantage of the continuing growth in the foodservice channel.
FWD members supply over 330,000 businesses in catering and hospitality, and every one of them is a potential customer for brands which have previously focused on the retail sector. The half-day seminar explores all aspect of the opportunity to grow sales in this channel through partnership with wholesalers. Wholesalers, suppliers and data analysts provide their perspective on the structure of the market, the growth areas, and the best way to engage chefs and catering managers with your product range. They also explain the added value that wholesalers and distributors give their customers, and the benefits of partnership planning based on feedback through the supply chain.
FWD’s How to Win sessions are free to members and supplier members, but limited to two places per company. They are intended for team members who are new to wholesale or are looking to expand their knowledge of the sector.
The next seminar, How to Win in Foodservice, takes place at Bidvest Foodservice’s Slough headquarters on March 15. The session includes an opportunity to tour the depot and learn about the logistics of distribution, and concludes with lunch with the speakers.
The next, An Introduction to Wholesale, will be at Birchall Food Service in Burnley on May 4.
