Welcome to the second edition of the new section within the magazine that is devoted solely to covering all aspects of the foodservice sector.

This section will be appearing every month and will be reporting on the activities of the leading wholesalers within the sector, providing insights and analysis of the market trends and issues, and also looking at some of the new developments from suppliers.

In this edition we take a look at the Today’s Group, whose members claim a total turnover in the foodservice sector of pound;500m.

At the group’s annual exhibition last month it was obvious that the area devoted to foodservice was attracting a great deal of interest. It was not just companies already active in the sector, but also others interested in getting involved in a growing part of the group’s business.

Also in this issue Peter Backman of Horizons provides some insights into the complex business of supplying hotels, and we look forward to the new products and promotions coming up.
