IB Group, the company behind Innovative Bites, the US foods and confectionery wholesaler and importer, has appointed ex-Booker Group chairman Richard Rose as non-executive chairman.
Rose joins the board of directors at IB – which also owns specialist confectionery wholesaler Hancocks and the Bobby’s and Bonds of London brands – in what the group has called ‘a strategic move in the continued expansion of the business’.
In his new role, Rose will work closely with the management team on driving improved service levels in order to help support the group’s customers in growing their businesses.
Wayne Beedle, IB Group CEO, said: “Richard’s appointment into the business is a key move in our ongoing business strategy to grow the IB Group and position it as the market leader. Richard brings with him an impressive resume of achievements. He has an exceptional track record of developing and supporting management teams to build and execute a customer-focused strategy for growth; so we are thrilled to welcome him on board.”
During his time at Booker, Rose helped oversee ‘significant’ increases in returns to shareholders. He has also worked as chairman of AO World, the online electrical goods retailer.
