Double-digit growth drives Best-one symbol group

Best-one, the symbol operation of Bestway Group this week reported strong growth in the first quarter of the year.

Sales showed a 16.04 % increase from January to the end of April compared to the same period last year with growth driven by fresh and chilled, organic growth from existing members and the success of the “My Rewards” rebate scheme, from which eligible Best-one retailers are earning, on average, more than £665 per month.

James Hall, director of symbol told Wholesale News this week: “Symbol and Retail Club is one of the growth pillars identifies by the group for driving the Betsway Batleys business forward and the success of Best-one in the opening quarter of 2014. Let’s remember this growth is also against a backdrop of fantastic growth of 10 % and 15% in the last two quarters of 2013 respectively so it is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Best-one and our members. But we are not ones to rest on our laurels and the final quarter will see some firsts for the group as we continue to support Best-one retailers with a fantastic new consumer text-to-win promotion for the World Cup, the chance for retailers to win prizes for their community and the expansion of our regional press campaign which we trialled in the north east last month with outstanding results.”
