December sales were 14% up for DCS Europe, the Stratford-upon-Avon health and beauty distributor with Christmas gift sets doing particularly well in the likes of Debenhams and other DCS retail customers.
Total sales for DCS in 2010 have seen 7% growth which makes it the best year in its history. DCS has shown growth in every year since it started in 1994, and annual sales for 2010 have come in at pound;125.6m with increases in nearly all divisions of the business.
Chief executive Denys Shortt said: “We are delighted with the figures as we continue to execute our strategy for growth and we see no reason why this should not continue into 2011.
“2010 has seen a huge increase in our repacking business DCS Packaging,with a leap from 3,000 floor displays repacked in 2009 to over 14,000 in 2010. “
DCS Export sales leapt 37% from pound;9m to pound;12.3m in 2010. Shortt added: “We have seen excellent growth in Egypt, Dubai and other parts of the Middle East. Our Enliven brand is now a market leader in Iraq.”
