Customers look to own label to manage their finances

Cash-strapped customers are continuing to turn to own label according to latest sales figures from Landmark Wholesale.

July month-end numbers for own brand show sales are 7.4% ahead of the same period last year with year-to-date growth standing at 7%.

The Lifestyle Value range has seen a 240% increase in sales this period with LSV energy drinks and No3 tobacco products performing particularly well.

Landmark Wholesale business development director Chris Doyle said: “The tough market conditions which are prevailing are having a positive effect on our own brand sales, which are showing continuous growth. Customers continue to look for savings wherever they can and the increasing range of own brand products available through Landmark Wholesale depots is helping retailers offer customers just what they need.”
