Creed drives new investment

Creed Foodservice has invested more than pound;750,000 upgrading its delivery fleet.

The Cheltenham and Ilkeston-based delivered wholesaler has acquired 10 new DAF 15 tonne multi temperature vehicles, which have been built to Creed’s high specifications and include Frigoblock refrigeration.

Creed said it had made the investment to deliver “enhanced fuel efficiency and the most efficient fleet refrigeration available”.

Also new are three Mercedes long wheel base Sprinters, also with multi temperature body units, and a multi-temp tractor and trailer unit.

Managing Director Chris Creed said: “We are investing in increased capacity and the ability to carry more of our developing range, alongside the efficiencies that can be delivered by these vehicles.

“Frigoblock is, in our opinion, the coldest and most efficient refrigeration available for multi-temperature distribution to caterers as it uses the vehicle’s own engine, not a separate one.”

The group has also invested in a new livery for its delivery fleet for fresh produce brand Mise en Place.

Each of the four Mercedes Sprinter vehicles feature a different fresh produce design.
