Blakemore Foodservice has won its first major North East contract with Newcastle- upon-Tyne Local Authority.
The two-year, £1m contract, started on September 1 and is being serviced by the Landmark member’s Wakefield depot.
This is the ninth new contract that Blakemore Foodservice has been awarded since May with others including the company’s first London boroughs, Barnet and Newham, the 80-site fast food chain Perfect Pizza and Roadchef Motorway Services.
Blakemore Foodservice sales amp; marketing director Jim Dudley said: “Newcastle-upon-Tyne Local Authority is a great win for the company as it marks our first significant venture in the North East region. Blakemore Foodservice’s constant growth and expansion into new territory reflects the commitment of our employees who are passionate about advancing our business.”
This month has also seen Blakemore Foodservice revamp its image with a new logo in keeping with the wider A.F. Blakemore group identity.
