Confex turnover tops £2bn for the first time

Confex, the Gloucester-based wholesale buying group, announce that it has topped £2bn turnover for the first time in its 44 years of trading.

A spokeswoman for the group said: “We wish to thank all our members and suppliers for helping to achieve this milestone.

“Good collaboration between supplier partners, members and Confex is always the main focus to keep members trading profitably. Confex will be holding even more events this year to keep up an excellent level of communication between all three parties. In addition to the annual Trade Show, and Growth Incentive, Confex and our suppliers will be taking part in the Confex Road Show series of events, travelling to the Members around the UK for their convenience and benefit.”

Confex will be holding its annual Trade Show on Thursday, April 21 at the Four Pillars Hotel & Conference Centre, near Cirencester, Glos. The vast majority of product categories will be represented, from over 200 suppliers to Confex.

The group is also holding a charity golf event at the Cirencester Golf Club, followed by an Awards Dinner, prior to the Trade Show on Wednesday, April 20.

“Having using Confex more over the last couple of years, we are now aware of how helpful everyone is and how much they all work to our benefit in getting good pricing and promotions from all the main suppliers, which in turn has helped us to increase our sales” commented Gregor Wylie of Adamsons Drinks, a member of the group.
