The Federation of Wholesale Distributors and him! are offering a free “Introduction to Wholesale” session for Wholesale News readers at Bestway Luton on July 1.
It’s a chance for members of the wholesale team who are new to the wholesale channel, or those interested in learning more about it, to spend half a day in a cash and carry depot and hear about the opportunities the sector offers for growing sales in new areas, analysis of the customer base, and insight on how the distribution channel operates.
Speakers include the FWD’s David Visick, who will reveal the size and scale of the new business opportunity, and Bestway’s David Gilroy, who will explain how wholesalers add value in the supply chain.
Katie Hemmings of him! will analyse the wholesale customer base in retail and foodservice, and explore what these small businesses want and need from their distributors. Simon Gray, MD of Boost Drinks, will add his own experience of working in the wholesale channel from the point of view of a supplier.
The event includes lunch and a tour of the depot, and senior executives from FWD wholesalers will be on hand to offer their own views on the potential of wholesale to provide new and lasting sales growth for ambitious brands.
“Introduction to Wholesale” is an initiative of the FWD Supplier Council, which brings together wholesalers and suppliers to promote the wholesale sector and improve efficiency and communication within the supply chain.
The session starts at 10.30am and is free to Wholesale News readers. Numbers are limited so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place.
