The Foodservice division of Scotland-based CJ Lang Son has paid out the equivalent of more than pound;40,000 to customers as a result of its ‘Just For You’ promotion, which was designed to acknowledge and reward customer loyalty.
‘Just For You’ is a seven-month promotion which runs from March to September each year and consists of about 80 licensed, ambient, frozen and non-food products. Customers earn points for purchasing participating products which can be redeemed against golfing items, holiday vouchers or Argos vouchers.
A range of soft drinks products are added over the summer months to provide customers with increased opportunities to gain additional points. Guest products are also featured throughout the promotion to generate added interest.
Steve Irons, foodservices controller, stated: “The success of the promotion is, in part, due to its simplicity; customers are registered into the scheme and our IT system does the rest.
“At the close of the promotion more than 700 customers were registered and some 80,000 points collected.”
