Landmark Wholesale is stepping up its focus on foodservice after restructuring its foodservice team.
Max Wright (see Buyer in the Picture, page 12) has been appointed senior foodservice controller to head a team responsible for the catering and foodservice side of its Features > Business, which represents 49% of Landmark Wholesale’s customers.
Also, new members, such as Restaurant Wholesale, have enhanced Landmark’s profile within the foodservice industry.
Wright explained: “This is a key time for Landmark Wholesale. The foodservice sector is certainly under pressure due to the economy, but there are also potential big wins as more of the British public decide to holiday in the UK this year. Therefore, there is a huge potential within the foodservice market and if the group can adapt to this change then we will all be well-placed to respond to our customers’ needs.”
He said NPD was crucial and there were plans to develop Landmark’s CK Foodservice brand with additions and expanding the range into different sectors to provide a more complete offering.
