Buying group Caterforce is celebrating “an unprecedented amount of orders” placed at its recent Supplier Presentation Day held at The Windmill, Coventry.
The one day event, which hosted 24 suppliers, generated orders worth £1.4m, while offering them the opportunity to meet with the eight Caterforce members. The format, a new approach for Caterforce, was that orders had to be placed on the day, which the Group said created “a fresh sense of interest and urgency”.
Nick Williams, national account manager at Unilever said: “I found the Caterforce event a very useful and rewarding experience. It was great to get in front of the enthusiastic buyers and the business I did on the day was excellent.”
Ehsan Bashir, from Nestle, added: “I found the Caterforce event incredibly useful. To have all the members in one place is perfect and also a fantastic way to drive volume sales.”
And Gary Mullineux, purchasing director at Caterforce, added: “We are dedicated to organising successful buying events and making sure we are presenting a strong selection of products to our members. As you can see from the fantastic sales figures, these events are an invaluable opportunity for suppliers to get in front of our members and to generate some great business.”
