BREAKING: Martin Williams to step down as Landmark wholesale MD

Landmark Wholesale has announced today (October 27) that Martin Williams will be leaving the company at the end of 2016.

Landmark said: “Martin has been an instrumental part of our success, particularly in his 5 years as our Trading Director and the last 14 years as our managing director.

“We didn’t want him to leave but respect his decision. He leaves with our very best wishes for his future career.”

Williams added: “After 33 great years with Landmark Wholesale I have decided that the time is right for me to step down from my role as MD and leave the business.

“I have served as a Director of Landmark for 19 years with 14 of them as managing director. I am very proud of the Group, its Members, and my record as MD.

“I would like to than k the Landmark Wholesale Board for their support in agreeing an amicable departure with me which will take place at the end of December. I have made many friends in my time at Landmark, and I leave behind some great memories.”

No successor at Landmark had been named at time of writing.

Williams announced he would be standing down as FWD chairman in June and chaired his last meeting earlier this month. His successor was elected at that meeting and a formal announcement will be made soon.
