Booker celebrates Euro Shopper £150m milestone

Booker is celebrating its Euro Shopper brand reaching sales of £150m per annum – or an extra £50m of profits going through retailers’ tills.

To celebrate this milestone, retailers Mark and Sally Mottram of Premier Halton Lodge Top Shop, Halton Lodge in Runcorn, won a visit from Santa to give-away Euro Shopper products. This event followed a national search to find the best Euro Shopper display.  Seven stores won a prize of £1000 of Euro Shopper stock for the best Euro Shopper display in their region.  From these seven regional winners, Mark and Sally’s display was chosen as outright winner and they went on to win the special Santa event.  There was also runner-up prizes of £100 of Euro Shopper stock.

“Euro Shopper’s red and white packaging are the colours of Christmas so now is a great time for us reward our customers with this competition and thank them for their support of Euro Shopper,” said Steve Fox, sales director – Retail.  “With value being increasingly important Euro Shopper will continue to go from strength to strength.  The brand was only launched in Summer 2007 which makes this achievement even more tremendous.  With minimum POR’s guaranteed at 30% and a fantastic choice of products, Euro Shopper is the fastest growing brand in convenience.

“We were delighted to have won the Euro Shopper competition,” said Sally Mottram.  “We have a really big display in store as it sells really, really well with our shoppers telling us that it is one of the reasons why they come to our store.  Having Santa here has brought a real buzz to the our shop and the children were really excited about meeting Santa and getting their Euro Shopper chocolate and Juicy Drink.  The £1000 of free stock will prove to be of great benefit for us, especially when people will be looking for great value in January.”
