Dundee retailer and Booker customer, Tahir Mahmood, has won a top-of-the range Ford van worth £12,000 for his business after entering a promotion run by Miller Genuine Draft.
The promotion, which ran earlier this year in 22 Booker branches, encouraged retailers to buy any two qualifying cases of Miller Genuine Draft and complete an entry leaflet in store to be in with a chance to win. Miller Brands provided Miller Genuine Draft double pallet wraps and posters for display during the activity to increase visibility and raise awareness, with one winner selected at random.
Tahir Mahmood, manager of City Booze in Dundee, said of his win: “We are a small convenience store, so receiving support like this from Miller Brands and Booker is incredibly important to the business and will help me keep the store stocked with plenty of Miller Genuine Draft, which always proves hugely popular.”
Aidan Wilday, director of sales at Miller Brands, added: “Miller Genuine Draft is the second biggest packaged lager brand in the Scottish off-trade[CGA Scotland MAT 23/02/13]and the number one in the on trade and we are constantly aiming to build on this success by offering support to both cash and carry channels and independent retailers. Through this promotion we were able to increase awareness and visibility of Miller Genuine Draft in cash and carry outlets, encouraging retailers to increase their stock and ultimately drive sales.”
